George S. Bliss of Lynne,
Massachusetts vacationed at Little Lyford 25 times between 1921 and 1946.
His remarkable journals give the reader a glimpse of life at a Maine
wilderness camp from a simpler, bygone era. With extraordinary warmth and
humor, Bliss recalls the people he
met, the fish he did and didn’t catch, the amazing journey each season to
Little Lyford and the bountiful meals over which he waxes almost poetic.
We
hope you enjoy this look back in time and hope the Journals inspire you to
visit Little Lyford Pond Camps where the spirit of George S. Bliss lives on.
